GOLDEN TIPS BLACK TEA
-
The Himalayan monsoon hits the mountains quickly and forcefully just after a short summer season in Nepal, and the soil in the hills that surround the Himalayas is the first to receive the rain. This tea is long oxidized, naturally dried for several hours and then wood fired. Himalayan Gold tea is grown near the Sandakphu forest. As you raise your cup, you are met by a scent of malt and smoke, but the first sip surprises. The tea has notes of both smoke and malt, but this is complimented by an unexpected softness of wild honey anc chocolate. Although the dry leaves are impressively aggressive the cup is mild as the Himalayan monsoon.
