Orthodox Assam teas are described as "traditional teas from the Camellia Sinensis var. Assamica tea bush or other tea varieties, grown and processed in the Assam region of eastern India, specifically in the Brahmaputra (also known as the Assam Valley) tea plantations." 

We selected this particular Assam tea because of its prime quality. Our Assam Mangalam is a carefully processed tea that contains large leaves and lots of golden tips. It has a rich, spicy, and deliciously malty taste and results in a dark amber brew. Assam Mangalam is definitely a highlight in every Assam tea assortment.
