Green tea is divided into two categories according to the type of processing - roasted green tea (from China, Nepal) and steamed green tea (from Japan, South Korea).

Roasted green tea has nutty, roasting nuances, has less umami and a vegetal flavor. Steamed green tea is sweeter than roasted green tea. Due to the higher content of chlorophyll in steamed green tea, the tea is richer in green color, the taste has more intense vegetal nuances.
